Ocean Beach On A Windy Night
Just as
the setting sun
sinks on the horizon—
through waves and clouds a sudden fear
invades.
I dread
the setting sun
when shadow and mist merge--
I become a sightless blind man
tapping.
Night falls--
optimism
sinks on the horizon--
relentless waves crush against rock—
abyss.
Beach sand
claws at my feet--
gulls squall in the chilled air--
through waves and clouds a sudden fear
descends.
Lonesome--
moonlight filters
through the dark moving clouds--
on my shoulders the ocean wind
invades.
Just as
morning sun rises
the pale full moon descends—
Is someone watching me as I
watch him?
